Jeff Connally – President and CEO
Jeff is the President and CEO of CMIT Solutions, Inc. He is responsible for guiding the company’s strategy and has been involved in this dynamic company since he joined the Board of Directors in August of 2005.
Jeff co-founded UpLink (GPS/Golf business) in 1998, serving as the COO until May 2003, and founded Gener8Biz (Sales/Marketing Consultancy) in 2003, serving as President and CEO. Jeff is also a sales and marketing professor at the Acton School, an Entrepreneurial MBA program located in Austin, Texas. His early career was with IBM Corporation, where he began as a systems analyst/programmer. He later served in a number of sales, marketing, and executive roles.
Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Saint Michael’s College and his MBA from the University of Texas. Jeff has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Stuart Hentschel – Director of Finance and Business Services
Stuart serves as the Controller and Director of Finance and Business Services for CMIT Solutions. He is responsible for all home office finances and legal matters and provides strategic and operational leadership to the team.
Stuart has owned and operated small businesses in Austin, Texas, since 1989. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Finance, he and his brother opened and operated a successful Austin restaurant chain, Waterloo Ice House, which has continued to expand.
After gravitating towards the financial and accounting systems of the restaurant business, Stuart ventured to start his own accounting company in early 2003. For close to 10 years, he has worked as a consultant and managed the bookkeeping of several small to medium-sized businesses in Austin. His strong experience in finance and accounting and his entrepreneurial background make him a great fit for CMIT Solutions.
Jim Tillinghast – Director of Training and Coaching
Jim is a veteran in the high-tech industry. He started his career with MRI Systems, Inc., one of the original computer software companies in Austin, Texas. In 1982, he moved to California to join Digital Research, Inc., a pioneer software company in the PC industry. Jim has built and led sales organizations at high-tech startups as well as at Intel, Informix, Phoenix Technologies, and Boundless Corporation, along with founding three companies of his own. As President of White Stone Advisors, Jim brings many years of executive management, sales and marketing, and team building to his work with business owners and corporate executives in transforming their vision into results.
At CMIT, Jim plays a key role in the development and delivery of training and business coaching services to the over 125 franchise owners in the CMIT system.
Jim has a BBA and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Cindy Phillips – Director of Product Management
Cindy serves as the Director of Product Development for CMIT Solutions. She is responsible for the product and services roadmap and performs market research to assure that CMIT Solutions’ offerings meet the dynamic and changing demands of small and medium-sized businesses.
In the past, Cindy has worked at the world’s first Kevlar plant in Richmond, Virginia; written flight software for satellites that are still in space; built several consulting businesses; and managed a database management tool suite with over $45M in annual revenues and 10,000 customers. She enjoys solving problems and delights in helping others achieve their goals.
Cindy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Columbia, an MBA from Maryville University, and is a graduate of the Institute for Managerial Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin and Leadership Austin. Ask Cindy about her mystery novels.
